A类
This CDL A类 training course is offered online, using a self-paced and interactive learning approach. Upon completing the online part, students may participate in the course’s hands-on Behind the Wheel portion on campus. After each lesson, drivers must take a quiz and score 80% or greater. 推出急需的, skilled truck driving career that prepares you to take and pass the federal CDL test.
Practice safely maintaining and maneuvering trucks into traffic loading or unloading positions, and in and out of parking spaces. Apply the necessary protocol to transport various types of goods and materials, whether regionally or nationally. Demonstrate how to operate important equipment, including truck cab computers, CB无线电, and tools for basic maintenance conditions.
Upon successfully completing both online and hands-on portions of the course, a participant will receive a Wallace 社区学院 certificate.
B类
This CDL B类 training course is offered online, using a self-paced and interactive learning approach. Upon completing the online part, drivers will participate in behind-the-wheel on campus. This course aims to teach students how to operate a box truck with air brakes and a six-speed manual transmission. B类 CDLs are required to drive vehicles with gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWRs) over 26,001 pounds and towing capacities under 10,000磅. In most cases, B类 vehicles don’t have trailers. 在本课程中, drivers will learn how to get a B类 CDL with air brakes, comply with FMCSA regulations, use logbooks electronically and on paper, 读地图, and enroll in the FMCSA’s Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. 在课程中, drivers will learn how to perform a pre-trip safety inspection and learn the basic control skills for the Alabama CDL test. Additional topics include straight-line backing, offset backing, and 90-degree backing. Drivers will also learn how to operate on the road safely. After completing the online element of the course, drivers will participate in the behind-the-wheel portion of the course on campus. Upon successfully completing both online and hands-on portions of the course, a participant will receive a Wallace 社区学院 certificate.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CDL TRAINING:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid Alabama Driver’s License
- A类 CDL Permit (A or B) (Must Pass general knowledge, combinations, and air brakes portions)

- 3-Year Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR)
In compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, students must provide a copy of their Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and the results of DOT controlled substance test to the point of contact at the College before the first day of class.
